Dragon Mythology:
The dragon myths to the ancient near east and Asia are the oldest in the world. This mythic tradition also contributed to the religious traditions evident in the Bible. Where Yahweh whose enemy is the rival deity Baal is also described as the vanquisher of Leviathan [Job:41:, Psalms: 74:, and Isaiah: 27:]. Though the Marduk and Ti'amat myth was discovered in cuneiform texts dating from the time of Ahurbanipal [668-630 BCE]. the story itself was probably composed about 1100 BCE from material from early in the second millennium. and it also has affinities with biblical traditions.

Dragons As Symbols:
The precise relationship between these and other dragon myths from the earliest established with precision. But the similarities between them stand out clearly: in many of the earliest myths, The dragon is a force associated with bodies of water and symbolic of darkness, disorder and death. A god fights and defeat the dragon eliminating a source of chaos and sometimes releasing benevolent water from the benefit of mankind.
Chinese dragon mythology seems to stand apart from the Near Eastern tradition which, with its dragon slaying divine hero seems closer to Greek myths and later European ones. Asian dragons tend to symbolize positive values cherished by indigenous Chinese, Japanese, Korean and related cultures. In mythic terms. Asian dragons typically do not perform the crucial narrative role of antagonist against divine, semi-divine, or human heroic combatants. Instead. they symbolize divine benevolence or protective imperial power associated with the life giviing force of water in its various natural forms: rain, rivers, lakes, and oceans

"THE CHINESE DRAGONS CAN BE DIVIDED INTO TWO CLASSES: THE NATIVE CHINESE [ PRE-BUDDHISTIC] DRAGONS AND THE NAGAS, IMPORTED WITH BUDDHISM FROM INDIA. THE CHINESE DRAGONS ARE IN GENERAL BENEVOLENT AND BENEFICENT DEITIES, WHO SEND RAIN AND BRING GOOD CROPS....LIKE ZEUS OR BAAL, THEY BRING BOTH GOOD AND BAD WATHER.FOR THE GOD, WE SHOULD NOT FORGET, CAN SEND BOTH GOOD AND EVIL UPON MOTAL MEN"

The Four Agreements are: 1. Be Impeccable with your Word: Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love. 2. Don’t Take Anything Personally Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering. 3. Don’t Make Assumptions Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life. 4. Always Do Your Best Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.
